The Bishop of Pune was the main celebrant with other ten priests for the occasion. The theme of the day was “Called to Love, Sent to Proclaim”. Many sisters from the province, parents and close relatives of the sisters and some friends participated to grace the occasion. It was a simple and meaningful ceremony.
The Bishop congratulated and appreciated the sisters for choosing the Theme Called to love, Sent to Proclaim. He said that all of us were called to love. Today world is in need of love and care. He sighed that this aspect was dying day by day as the globalization and technology brought changes in every spear of life. He elaborated further by exhorting all to become love and spread that love to all the people where ever we are. He said that the world is devoid of love and this year of consecrated life invites each one to proclaim this love to all through our way of living and witnessing the life of Christ.
He thanked the parents and family members of the sisters Anjana and Sophia for offering their daughters to the missionary church. He was impressed by the names of our sisters Anjana and Sophia. He said that the name Anjana meant “enlightened one” and this has to make her insightful and lead her to love all and proclaim that love to all. He told that Sophia meant wisdom which has to be used for the people in spreading God’s kingdom.
Eucharistic celebration ended with the vote of thanks and singing the Congregational hymn. Thereafter was the felicitation for our sisters Anjana and Sophia and Bishop as he completed his 25 years of Episcopal Ordination which culminate din the agape.
