It has been almost three years in Taiwan. In the first two years we learned Chinese. While learning the language we also had a little mission experience such as visiting the sick in the hospital (terminal cancer patients) singing for them and accompany them. Together with the lay faithful (in charge) participating in activities and programs during Christmas and the World Day of the Sick. It was an enriching experience.

After learning Chinese, we started to take up some missions such as helping in the Parish and in our kindergarten. In the parish together with the Priest and parishioners we go visiting the sick and elderly. At times we visit the families Once a week there is distributing of lunch boxes to the homeless or elderly who live alone, from St. Francis Capillas Church organized by the parish priest and the parishioners. There is also Eucharistic celebration in home for the aged once a month. In our convent, (our Lady of the Rosary Church) we are with the migrants.

The faithful in Taiwan are so kind, friendly and welcoming. In some ways the Church is much lacking in the participation of youth and children. There are no religion conflicts in Taiwan and it is peaceful and free to worship. There are also activities of inter religious dialogue between different religions. The evangelization task is not easy because majority of the people are rooted in their cultures and beliefs of Buddhism and Taoism. We learn little by little and we are happy because God is always with us.
