Hello my name is Andrea Vega Tobar, Catechist of the female mother of Rosary College, I am writing to tell you a little bit of walking that we had during the first half of the year 2017. That all must admit that a couple of years previously not worked in Pastoral Ministry in the female mother of Rosary College. Since I started my job as a teacher the time playing against me, so I had to leave the service in my parish, I left my job as a Catechist. Last year I was invited to take a group of Pastoral Ministry at the College, however as there were changes in the address, I doubted that it through, but as we all know the Lord manifests itself when you least expect it. Thus as I started this year with the beautiful task of guiding a group of young people of confirmation, my beloved girls (members of the group students) are adorable, from the beginning to this date we have achieved a great connection, group talks of everything: questions, problems, joys, everything… is incredible how the members of the group rely on every one of her companions Since that sometimes treated encounters lead us to talk about very intimate issues, that for the girls has meant opening his heart and humbly submit his deepest feelings without doubt that our father leads us and accompanies in every encounter. Also as a group and FEMAR pastoral community, we have had the opportunity to participate in several meetings with the school Don Bosco (Salesians), where he stood the vigil of Pentecost, which was the first meeting outside the school where the catechists and young women, around about 40, were all night doing formative themes in my case and my colleagues; and in the case of young women living encounters in which they shared and enjoyed being with people of their same age, that are undergoing similar encounter with Christ, as the subsequent comments I have to say that he enjoyed enough even feel passing hours. It was a meaningful experience that managed to boost return visits with the girls of confirmation to the same school, a meeting between the groups of both educational institutions where the reception was nice, since we support games, dynamic to meet and share life with young people, as well as play also worked biblical texts, and playful way the boys and girls managed to present what he called their attention and recover a message obtained from the Gospel. Well, roughly story small details of meetings with my group confirmation at our school and with visits to other places, but before the end I must admit that so far the most significant meeting, or rather which manages to demonstrate that not only the young people participate in a pastoral letter to meet people or forced is when we see the interest of your family by attending meetings with them and participate in the significant moments where the Lord is present in fullness, I speak of the encounter between fathers and sons, in that moment I realized as a Catechist who they are the spark of energy required by our Church, because they trusted their interests and projecting ideals appeal to people to participate and be part of what nowadays both is questions, this I can say as a Catechist I'll take a noble and arduous task of guiding and train new people to integrate our Christian family, and thus trickle contribute in a vast sea to be better and to provide what our father wants to make our life. Andrea Vega, language teacher and Catechist of the female school of the mother of the Rosary, Antofagasta Chile.
"Our missionary group grows and with it the solidarity and love"
"Be in"Missions Femar"has been something super nice for me. This group meant me to be who I am and who I will be tomorrow. Thanks to this group I've become more empathetic, more solidarity, has helped me to strengthen my values and to reflect them in others, the needy, even in my family. It has also allowed me to meet many people who at the time remained, my family, have become with them I have learned and shared so much that whenever we go on mission fills my soul, go with the heart filled with so much joy that he surrenders, is everything for me. So I think that whenever you have the opportunity to bring a smile to someone, I will do it, if I have to shake hands, I will do it. I will give without expecting anything in return. There will always be a missionary or missionary who will go ahead to surrender, while we are more the world will be better. It is so our school group grows and grows with the solidarity and love. The Lord has called us to be here, we are not here by chance, we must therefore take full advantage to give ourselves and be happy in community". Testimonies of the catechesis of the College FEMAR group.
In preparation to the sacrament of initiation into the Eucharistic life, we have privileged this year the biblical training, so it has invited father René (Oblate of Mary Immaculate), who has been prepared on the word of God and shares her passion with those who wish to get closer to her. The women, who are most involved in the preparation of their daughters, share us what it has meant for them: "for me has been important to learn to read a Bible. To know the difference between old and New Testament. To distinguish between the Catholic Bible and other Christian Bibles from what age can be taught to children content. Interpretation that can be done, depending upon the experience of each one, so it can change my interpretation depending on the times to read the biblical passage. Also the difference of translations of some words between a Bible. I can only say that it has been excellent teaching delivered"(Ximena Godoy)"to me the Bible study we did I really liked, I understood the difference in Bibles and what was the literal reading, interpretation, and that we must present the context in which it was written"Cecilia Linsambarth" a beautiful experience, because that will never stop learning " the father was very educational to teach us and Moms were fascinated, warmly, wishing to repeat to continue learning". These moms have desmitificado some things and have approached the word in a simple, practical, always returning to life, to their lives, reading it with eyes of faith and science, opening their minds to be able to discover the way of God in the life of a people, and how is still present in the Chile of today and how talks about in the midst of the difficulties crisis, hopes and achievements that are reached. The reality of Antofagasta calls them and brings them to look in the Bible for the hope of a more equitable and just world. Group of catechesis for 2nd year college FEMAR Antofagasta – Chile.
