The Lord is in the small details of our lives. He enables us and gives us opportunity to let realize the presence of Christ to them who are still unaware of his love, grace and forgiveness by preparing us to lift the abandoned and needy up as we build the kingdom of the Lord on the earth. (más…)

On July 13, 2019 Order of Preachers welcomed our new Master of the Order in the person of Fr. Gerard Francisco P. Timoner III, O.P. He said, in his first preaching “recognizing the challenges of modern times, Church needs a Francis and Dominic” and that is the new perspective he is giving to us Dominicans to respond to these challenges in the Dominican way which is preaching. St. Dominic said and which is firmly quoted by Master Gerard. “It is not what we do, it is who we are. We are preachers even if we don’t preach verbally but we live preaching in our life that is our identity.” Which is what we need to revitalize and this will come true when we really live our vocation. Helping our elderly sisters brings a good feeling to me.

They are those who inspire and make us grow in life. Actually, we daily meet many people in our lives but there are few whose life gives impact to ours. As early as 6 years old, I knew I was going to be a teacher. Spending most of my childhood days teaching kids in our neighborhood was a big part of growing up. Make-shift classroom in one corner of our house and a written wall were a common thing around the house with displayed written words to be read and simple mathematical problems to be solved. (más…)

I barely thought about the so-called “memorable experiences” in life. Since there are a lot of things need to be corrected somehow, a need to forget because way back in my past I’ve experience pain, confusion about things and even worst, agony. However when I started to do so, I found myself in a certain room (in a small corner to be exact) checking my phone’s gallery of what Emily Clark’s once stated in her timeline stories: “Always look for something positive in every day even if some days you have to look a little harder”. That’s life, whether you like it or not you are what you are now because of what you experienced by then. (más…)

We have just celebrated our one hundred years as a Congregation. The insurmountable challenges that our Founders have confronted in its beginning together with the other sisters who accompanied them in their first was indeed something to emulate on, as we look forward to the years ahead of us.
